Your book is not…

*Your ex. You are allowed to spend time with it, and it won’t cheat on you with the writer next door. It is loyal and true.

*Your homework. It is actually, you know, fun. Plus, nobody is giving you a grade, so let loose!

*Your enemy. It isn’t out to get you. There are no hidden agendas or traps. 

*Your body. Going to the refrigerator constantly will not feed it. Also, sitting your butt in your chair is actually helping it. 

*Your business card. Please. It is WAY more than that. It is your legacy. 

*Your journal. You don’t have to insert yourself on every page. In fact, it is probably better if you don’t. 

*Your life. You are allowed to go out and have fun. Enjoy the sunshine and your loved ones. 

*You. Your book isn’t a reflection on your worth as a person. You are worthy and lovely without it.
